Dr. Torres Jimenez received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota with Drs. Robert F. Miller and Linda McLoon. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow.

Thesis: Neurotrophic factor treatment to extraocular muscle (EOM) changes motor neuron properties

Dr. Willoughby received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota in Dr. Linda McLoon's lab. She is currently a Data Scientist at StreetLight Data.

Abby McDonald, Ph.D. 2013

Thesis: The sparing of the extraocular muscles in Duchenne muscular dystrophy: intrinsic differences in myogenic precursor cells

Dr. McDonald received her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics from the University of Minnesota in Dr. Linda McLoon's lab. She is currently a Manager of Solutions Development at Be The Match BioTherapies.

Sandra Alcalá, Ph.D. 2009

Thesis: Investigation of the Intranasal Delivery Method as a Means of Targeting Therapeutic Agents to the Injured Retina and Optic Nerve

Dr. Alcala received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota in Dr. Linda McLoon's lab. She is currently the Chief of Staff for Congressman Filemon Vela; House of Representatives.

Kristen Kallestad, Ph.D. 2009

Thesis: Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Extraocular Muscle: A potential sparing mechanism with therapeutic implications

Dr. Kallestad received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota in Dr. Linda McLoon's lab. She is currently a Physician at Ridgeview Medical Center and Clinics.
